Moncton Ready For a Return to the Ice

Hope everyone had a great summer.

It is that time of year again when families are getting ready for back to school and of course Ringette.

Ringette will look a little different this year due to COVID-19, at least for the first few months.

MRA has been working with Ringette New Brunswick (RNB) and Ringette Canada to finalize its Return to Play (R2P) plan for the 2020/2021 regular season. It is understood there are many questions by the members and the following attempts to clarify as many as possible.

The COVID-19 situation is constantly changing so you should expect changes to the summary below; what’s outlined below is the most up to date information at this time. Ideally, the COVID-19 situation in the region continues to improve over the coming months and the COVID-19 measures outlined below can be relaxed.

In general, the MRA R2P plan follows the guidelines released by Ringette New Brunswick and aims to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 not to eliminate COVID-19 by implementing as many social distancing measures as reasonably possible. In some cases, the facilities (ice Rinks) will have additional measures players, coaches and those attending the rink must following; MRA is working with the facilities to understand and share the facilities policies prior to the start of the season in early September.
